Education and Covid-19

 Education and Covid-19

One of the major impact of covid-19 is students education. It globally affected billions of students.  Majority of the countries closed schools because of this pandemic situation. In developed country started online classes many countries don't have such facilities. A new education scenario has started that is digital platform instead of usual classroom. Inadequacy of devices like personal computers, TV's, mobile phones etc affected many poor students education. The developed countries like USA, Australia, UK, Germany etc provided electronic devices for education to the students. In our country our government is also trying their best to arrange facilities for students.

For the online classes internet access is very important. Many countries doesn't have fully access for internet connection. That is one of the major setback for the online Learning. Our state Kerala has a good facility in the internet access.

Many of the parents are not able to help the students for this endeavor. Sometimes the online classes are not completely effective because the continuous attending of online classes makes students boring. So many students deviate to other activities like computer game, video games etc. So the teachers are helpless in this area because the students are beyond their control. The complete lockdown of the students in between four walls make the students restless. They also do not get amble exercises for their body and mind. This create problems among students.

The online education has a lot of benefits also. Many online courses were introduced by the universities as part-time. For example Zhejiang University offers more than 5,000 courses online just two weeks into the transition using "Ding Talk ZJU". Experience reveal that students study 25-50% more attain while learning online than in a classroom. Because of this Covid-19 students cannot attend classes at least to a some extend the online classes replaces the education system.
